On Saturday, dh (no nickname for him sounds right..I could say Mr. DC, but that sounds cheesy…we’ll stick with dh) and I went into town. I had a long list of errands to handle: bank, craft store, Costco (and Costco cell phone booth), Target, Starbucks. I’m not sure which is the most important — new phone, Starbucks. Starbucks, new phone. It may have been a tie.
I ended up with a new LG Thrill 4G. LOVE it. And a nonfat eggnog latte. LOVE it.
The day, albeit expensive, was a success. It was cold, lots of opportunities for handholding and time for talking with dh. Such a nice day! (And we hope to extend the opportunity for romantic cuddling out by our new chiminea.)
I’m lucky. Dh doesn’t mind it when I drag him into AC Moore. Coupon on hand, I went from one end of the other. Let it be known that while the cart grew more full as we cruised more aisles, it was because of Dh’s contributions. A Santa hat here. A craft for the kids there. Before you know it, we’d been up and down all the aisles, and amidst the pile of purchases was the ONE item I’d gone for: Martha Stewart’s Scoreboard. I bought it to go along with my new Provocraft Your Story.
Next on my list? The Zutter Bind It All. But, that one will have to wait until next month. I’ve got some plans to make cupcake-shaped and embellished albums and cookbooks for some family members and friends.
My latest batch of cupcakes? Snickerdoodles for an event over the weekend. SO delicious and gone in seconds. I used the recipe over at How Sweet It Is. (Check it out! She has a great blog full of food that will positively make you drool.) I took them to a party we were invited to, and they were quite the hit. (And fun to make! I love cupcakes that have layers; that cookie bottom was fantastic!)
I’m off to the studio. I have a “thankful hearts”-themed flower arrangement to deliver tomorrow to a town event and I need to cut out some parts on the Cricut so I have time to put it together in the morning. Pictures tomorrow!
